Essential Values in our Corporate Worship

Jesus centred worship

Our worship is for Him and about giving Him that central place.

People of the Word

The Bible is our final authority in all things, and is taught and discussed in all of our meetings.

Holy Spirit led services

Our desire is to be led by the Spirit into God's presence to be open for the Holy Spirit to speak to us, in our worship, prophetically and in the Word. To have opportunity for the Holy Spirit to minister in the congregation and by the laying on of hands.

Evangelistically Motivated

Called to reach the world. Seeking to show Jesus as relative to the local community. The Alpha Course is run once year. We have a heart to reach the Vale with the gospel of Jesus Christ and during the summer we take our church service to the local Park.

Committed to the body

Whole church - cell - working out what it means to share our lives as a Christian community. Agape love. Moving in excellence.

Essential Values in Cell Church

We believe that Cell Church is built on the fact that all Christians are ministers. Such a church is not built around the assembly of all it's members, but the clustering of believers to become "Basic Christian Communities" which do the work of the ministry from Cell Church that meet in homes. These Cell then cluster together for our Sunday Morning Celebration times. The life of the church is in the Cells, not in a building. While it has weekly worship events, the main focus of the church is in the home where all Christians are ministers.

The Definition of a Cell Church

Relationships

Like the human body, which is made up of millions of cells (the basic unit of life), the life of the cell-based church is also in its cells (small groups in community). In this context, we actively seek a relationship with God, with each other and with those who may not have the same faith as them. Through these committed relationships, members encourage each other on to maturity in worship, edification, accountability and evangelism. This is true community.

Meetings

The focus becomes the cells. It is nearly impossible to nurture committed, effective relationships in the context of a large group. The cell becomes the place where the community and relationship, ministry and evangelism develop most naturally and powerfully (Acts 2:42-47). A gathering of the cells for celebration (see our Sunday Celebration Worship Service) joins each cell together as part of the larger body and provides corporate worship and times of teaching that bring the balance to the small group.

Every Member in Ministry

We believe that all Christians should be growing in discipleship by being mentored and mentoring someone else. This provides discipleship and rapid growth at all levels of maturity. Mentoring helps to fulfill the biblical mandate for all Christians to be equipped for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:11,12) and multiplies the discipleship process down into the cell. The result of all-member equipping and ministry is a natural lifestyle evangelism. Also the concept of every member in ministry encourages and validates those with a sense of market place ministry, breaking down the sacred/secular divide.

Additionally, our Cell Church Values are as follows:

Jesus is at the center of all that we do!

Only Jesus changes people.

Every member in ministry

Every member feeling they have a ministry and role key to revival.

Every member growing

Every person taking responsibility for their personal holiness and growth in their walk with Christ.

Multiplication

The spreading of the gospel and making disciples at the heart of cells.

Sacrificial love

Jesus demonstrated love by sacrifice. His is the example and challenge to all.

Community

The building of relationships both within and without the cell produces community.

Honesty and Integrity

Honesty is the lifeblood of community and the doorway to Christian growth, and integrity is essential to sharing the light of the world.
